Semi Permanent makeup can change people’s lives. It can you give you back lost confidence, as well as save you valuable time in a morning.
So what is Semi Permanent Makeup?
Semi permanent makeup, also known as Micro-pigmentation, is a technique in which small amounts of pigments are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin to enhance the appearance of Eyebrows, Lips and Eyeliner.
What happens during a treatment?
All of my treatments begin with a thorough consultation, during which all of your questions are answered, and a skin test is completed. On the day of your procedure we agree on a shape that you like for your brows, lips or eyeliner, this is drawn on for you to see before we begin the treatment. We choose a colour to suit your skin tones/ hair colour and then the procedure will begin and is very comfortable due to topical numbing creams that you can apply.
How long will the results last for?
The results vary from client to client, factors such as age, pigment colour used, medical conditions can all have an impact on the longevity, but on average it is recommended that you have a colour boost every 12-18 months to keep them looking at their best. Whilst the pigment can remain in the skin forever, it will lighten over the years and so this is why colour boosts are necessary.
Does it heal quickly?
After the treatment your new brows, lips or liner will look quite dark and defined, over the following week the skin will begin to heal. The first stage you will see is some light scabbing or flakiness. This generally lasts about 1 week. Once this process has finished the treated area will look quite light in colour due to healing layers of skin growing over the surface of the pigment. It will take up to 6 weeks for the full colour to show properly. After 6 weeks you return to see me for the second part of your treatment, at no extra charge, and i will even out the colour and do a touch up on the area to ensure it is perfect for you. Your new Brows, Lips or Eyeliner are then complete.
Is there a lot of aftercare to follow after the procedure?
As with most cosmetic procedures there is some aftercare advice that you will need to follow. Such as keeping the area dry for the first week after the treatment and applying a healing balm which i will provide to you. There a few things that i will discuss with you and you will be given a printed aftercare information leaflet to ensure you fully understand how to look after you Semi Permanent Makeup.
Will I be suitable to have the treatment?
Whilst most people are suitable for Semi Permanent Makeup, there are some medical conditions that can contra-indicate the treatment, so please be sure to provide full accurate medical details during your consultation so that i can check your suitability. Treatments available
